President’s Statement: Honoring Charlie Kirk and Standing Strong

By Blaine
President, Log Cabin Republicans of Dallas
The Right side of history has room for all of us.

I just got off our regularly scheduled call with chapter presidents from across the country. To say the mood was somber doesn’t do it justice. It was quiet, emotional, and deeply shaken.

Today, we mourn not just a conservative leader, but a husband, a father, and a bold voice for a generation of young patriots.

Charlie Kirk meant a lot to many of us. He inspired people, especially young people, to be proud of this country again. He reminded us that respectful dialogue, conviction, and courage are not mutually exclusive. He was never afraid to speak the truth, and he made space for those of us in the gay conservative movement in a way few ever have.

Let me be clear:

We will not be afraid.
We will not be intimidated.
We will not be silenced.
And We will take it from here.

I want to thank all of you who have reached out. I’ve heard from members who are heartbroken, horrified, and shaken, and rightfully so. What happened should horrify every decent American.

What is equally horrifying are those celebrating Charlie’s death online. A husband and father was gunned down in cold blood. If there was ever a moment for moral clarity, this is it.

The reality is this: the radical left's reaction will only strengthen our cause.
Logical people, independents, moderates, and even quiet liberals see what is happening. They feel it. This does not help the left. It exposes them.

Tonight, our thoughts and prayers are with Erika and their two young children.

Tomorrow, I am working closely with our friends at the Dallas County Republican Party to organize a candlelight vigil and prayer for Charlie and his family. I will share more details as soon as they are confirmed.

Lastly, I want to acknowledge the obvious. The world is changing, and tensions are rising. As your leadership team, we have always prioritized safety, and we will continue to do so. We are actively exploring the formation of a Security Committee to ensure our events remain a safe space to gather, speak freely, and stand proudly for what we believe in.

Charlie Kirk taught us many things. But above all, he taught us how to lead boldly and with conviction.

Rest in peace, Charlie. You were our friend and our brother. We’ll take it from here.

In strength and unity,

Blaine
