Mutual Arbitration Agreement

Applies to all members, event attendees, volunteers, and participants
This Mutual Arbitration Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between you (“Participant”) and Log Cabin Republicans of Dallas, Inc. (“LCR Dallas”), a Texas nonprofit corporation. It governs any and all disputes between you and LCR Dallas, including its officers, directors, volunteers, representatives, and affiliates.
1. Agreement to Arbitrate
All claims, disputes, or controversies arising out of or relating to your participation in Log Cabin Dallas activities—including membership, events, donations, use of the website or communications (including text messages)—shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) or another mutually agreed-upon neutral forum.
2. Scope of Arbitration
This Agreement applies broadly to any dispute, including but not limited to:

Claims related to membership, donations, or event participation

Claims related to communications (email, SMS, calls)

Claims for alleged violation of rights, including under local, state, or federal law

Breach of contract or tort claims

Disputes arising from your adherence to or violation of our [Code of Conduct]
3. Governing Law and Venue
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to any conflict of law principles. Arbitration shall be conducted in Dallas County, Texas.
4. Waiver of Jury Trial and Class Actions
You and LCR Dallas agree to waive the right to a trial by jury and to pursue or participate in any class, collective, or representative action, including in arbitration.
5. Enforceability and Severability
If any part of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
6. Voluntary and Binding
By participating in any Log Cabin Dallas activity, using our website, providing your contact information, or becoming a member, you agree to this Arbitration Agreement. This Agreement is binding on your heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns.
